Red Pine Software is a software development studio that specializes in building modern web application software. I was contracted to design their logo system. They wanted a design that was very thoughtful and charmingly nostalgic. The typeface is called Trois Mille, and is from the digital type foundry Sharp Type; we chose it because the type specimen had unique, retro intricacies. The tree logomark is based on gestalt principles and is a call back to vintage tech logos(i.e. IBM, Sierra, Sega, Microsoft).
